Today's rule interpretation

Goal Crease Violations

Only the goalkeeper or the acting goalkeeper (AGK) may legally play any ring that is on the goal crease line or entirely inside the goal crease. Alternately, neither the goalkeeper nor the AGK may move a ring into or onto the goal crease when it is entirely outside of the goal crease.

If either of these rules are broken, play is stopped and the ring is given to the non-offending team.

In the above image rings 1-5 may only be played by the goalkeeper. Rings 6 and 7 may be played by any player, but the goalkeeper may not bring the ring inside the crease.

The U14 Flames went undefeated in the Round Robin games, scoring 30 goals the most of any of the 8 teams and finished second overall. Unfortunately they lost in the semi-final game and did not advance to the Gold Medal Round.

ERL - Instructions for Coaches

Coaches:

 

Winning team or home team (in the event of a tie) is responsible for scanning and emailing the game sheet to vickicalvez@hotmail.com within 72 hours after the game. 

 

The original white copy of the game sheet must be forwarded by mail immediately following the game to:

Vicki Calvez Unit 9 - 1195 Dawson Road Lorette MB R0A0Y0
 
The winning team must update the score on the ERL website.
 
For weather-related cancellations - Coaches must notify the Eastman Scheduler via email or phone 270-0118. Rescheduling of games will only be considered if the original game was not played because of unsafe weather or roads, or if ice was not available.
 
Coaches may trade games with other coaches if necessary, as long as

a.) they obtain clearance from Eastman Scheduler (Vicki Calvez) PRIOR to any changes being made, and 

b.) There is agreement from all parties as to exactly which game times are being traded PRIOR to any traded games being played.

Eastman Ringette Camp (for Eastman players born 2000-2004)

The Eastman Ringette Association is offering a ringette camp throughout the 2011/2012 season. It is intended for players who seriously want to further develop their skills beyond the community level and who aspire to play in our AA system in the future. Instruction from certified MRA instructors.

Wednesday nights @ 7:00pm, Oct. to Feb. Landmark Arena
